Annual Wright City Blue and Gold Scholarship Fundraiser
The Blue and Gold Dinner Auction is close to the heart of FMB Bank’s President Kristin Ruge Beckmeyer. Being a Wright City High School Alumna, Kristin was asked by Bill Groeper and Corwin “Butch” Ruge to assist in fundraising for the WCHS Scholarship fund. Bill Groeper and Butch Ruge started the Wright City Scholarship Fund and held annual golf tournaments to raise money for our students. They asked Kristin to get involved in 1999, she proposed the idea of a dinner auction and Blue and Gold was born! In its first year, with contributions from businesses and community members, they raised $42,000.00!
This year in 2025, after 25 years, Blue and Gold has given over 1 million dollars in scholarships to Wright City students.
